Triads for soloing

As often happens in lessons one idea leads to another and a conversation of triads played over chords for soloing come up. This riff   was a fun demonstration of the ideas potential.

Here is a very easy Dominant seven riff. I encourage my students to play this riff moving up in half steps along the fingerboard and name the notes as they go.
